Someone wrote on my wifes car in a black marker. How can I remove it?

We recently cleaned a snack truck that had black marker graffiti written on the side. We have several products that will remove black marker so we tried them all.

Our recommendation: RemovALL 400.
Some products left a ghost image of the marker on the surface and/or the spray “rundown” left ghost imaging. The truck was quite old so the paint coating could not really be harmed. On a new vehicle or a vehicle whose paint coating you admire always test in an inconspicuous area first!

The side of the truck was white and the marker black. After spraying; the ink immediately began to loosen. Elbow grease was still needed. We cleaned up the truck and it looked perfect! We would have taken pictures but the event was totally unplanned. It turned out to be good product education for everybody involved.

Keep in mind that washing with soap and water and/or other cleaners/agents (if they don’t work) may only help to set or imbed the marker making it more difficult to remove later.
