When water based stains dry very quickly overlapping marks may occur. Overlapping marks may also present themselves when applying the second stain coat. Saman Stains have been specifically formulated to prevent these overlapping marks from occurring.

Saman is the only water base stain on the market (that we know of) that does not need any conditioner. Most water based stains require wood conditioner to prevent overlapping marks from occurring, but not Saman.

It is a Canvas texture similar to that of old style army tents. It has a chemical on it for flame retardants and water repellency. It’s coated with an oily residue and often smells of oil when you first open it. The color is Drab Green.
